Professional Profile

Are you looking for a software developer whose ready to excel, willing to learn and passionate about his work? Look no further. As a graduate student from Queens College with a BS in Computer Science, I have had extensive experience with C++ and Java while learning and practicing the fundamentals of software engineering such as object oriented design, server/client models, and various methodologies.

With my experience as a project manager from Bank of America, I bring to the table excellent communication skills, management skills, and a very deep understanding of the AGILE methodology (waterfall, too). I have worked with Rally (now CA Technologies) and created training documentation for 13 technical teams to switch from Waterfall to AGILE as their development methodology. I have led development projects for implementing features to existing software systems to improve efficiency for management on the calling floor and have analyzed payment processing systems to provide cost-saving suggestions like automating check analysis and account binding.

My development experience consists of working with C++ and Java as my primary languages. I have also used Python, SQL, and a little Ruby/Ruby on Rails. For a hackathon, I built a website to calculate the price of tolls from a starting location to an ending location. Using Javascript and Google Maps API, it cross references the NYS Thruway database to gather the interchanges along the route and calculate the tolls. Falling in love with Javascript, it’s helped me focus my passion towards full stack development. Since then, I’ve manager to build a rudimentary node.js backend using Express, a web app that links to a MySQL database and Amazon’s API, as well as a page that displays all of NASA’s pictures from Flickr.
